BOX VAN chassis (21mm wheelbase) - MINIATURE / NARROW GAUGE (O9 Gauge 7mm scale)

This is a 3D printed item, using a fine ABS like resin and is for a 21mm wheelbase chassis as used on our Box Vans to allow you to create your own custom 09 scale miniature wagons (7mm / foot) running on 9mm track. It requires wheels (ideally 7mm diameter with 15mm point to point steel axles) and couplings to complete.

These were commissioned by a customer who was looking to extend his O gauge railway to include a local community railway similar to the 15" and 18" estate / mining railways of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

The photo shows an example of the items with the box van body (not supplied) mounted to the chassis before any clean up.

The chassis has slots to accept standard Peco GR-102 009 couplings (not supplied) that slot neatly into the chassis.

Bear in mind the size of these items when looking at the detail in the photos. The chassis is  52mm long over the buffers and 26mm wide.

O9 scale modelling is a nice alternative to the traditional narrow gauge and can be used to create a smaller, more agricultural addition to any O gauge layout.
