This is a 3D printed item, using a fine ABS like resin.
Photos 1 and 2 show the parts as they will be supplied before any clean-up. The kit includes:
- 2 cab fronts
- 2 control panels
The cab fronts are profiled to slot into one end of a Tri-ang O Gauge BigBig train BR Mk2 coach. They include a locating slot for the coach floor to clip into as it did for an unconverted coach.
These are genuine photos and not digital representations.
You simply need to remove the support from the inside of each cab front, remove the support from underneath the buffer, smooth out the curves on the front face and ensure that the control panel slots neatly inside the cab front.
The coach needs to have one end removed (ideally the door end) with a straight cut along the front body moulding (see photo 3).
Photo 4 shows the cab front placed on the end of the coach. After glueing (with superglue or epoxy), the cab end can be lightly sanded to follow the profile of the coach roof and sides.
These cab fronts were commissioned by a customer who wanted to create a cost effective representation of an iconic British Rail locomotive and coaches using the Tri-ang Big Big Train Mk2 coaches as a base.
All variants of the Blue Pullman bogies are listed separately.
Bear in mind the size of these items when looking at the detail in the photos.
