This is a 3D printed item, using a fine ABS like resin.
Photos 1 shows the parts in the full kit as they will be supplied before any clean-up. Photos 3 to 6 show the details of the doors and roof plugs. The full kit completes two kitchen cars and includes:
- 2x Blue Pullman kitchen car body panels
- 2x roof plugs
- 4x Blue Pullman doors
A smaller, single Kitchen car kit is also available, with parts to complete one carriage only.
These parts complement our Blue Pullman cab fronts and power car body sections (available separately) and are profiled to fit the profile of a Tri-ang O Gauge BigBig train BR Mk2 coach.
These are genuine photos and not digital representations.
You simply need to cut the coach body, with a straight perpendicular cut, between the 4th and 5th windows (counted from the non toilet end) and remove the coach end from the toilet end. Then add a strip of plasticard to the inside edge of the coach parts to form a lip and attach the three parts together (see photo 2).
These body sections were commissioned by a customer who had bought the cab fronts and power car body sections and wanted to extend the rake to include the kitchen cars, creating a cost effective representation of an iconic British Rail locomotive and coaches using the Tri-ang Big Big Train Mk2 coaches as a base.
All variants of the Blue Pullman bogies are available separately.
