This is a 3D printed item, using a fine ABS like resin.
Photos 1 to 3 show the items assembled. Photos 4 to 9 shows the item parts as you will receive them (you receive parts to complete two sets of bogies frames):
- Left and right hand bogie sideframes (2 of each)
- front and rear bogie end (2 of each)
These parts were designed to upgrade a Class 35 Hymek locomotive, either to replace the supplied bogies or for a scratch-built bogie. All the key parts are built into the 4 parts including correct pattern grated steps, brake pistons, visible brake linkages and suspension springs.
These are genuine photos and not digital representations. You simply need to remove a small amount of flash from the top edge of the bogie frames, attach the ends (locating pegs and holes are provided to ensure they slot in correctly).
No specific fixing arrangement is incorporated into the frames, however, they are quite thick, enabling suitable locating holes to be drilled into the sides.
The wheelbase is 73.5mm (10' 6") with a width of 40mm between the frames.
Bear in mind the size of these items when looking at the detail in the photos.
These parts were commissioned by a customer who wanted to give a Class 35 a more accurate look.
