This is a 3D printed item, using a fine ABS like resin.
The first 2 photos show an example of the items as you will receive them, being a set of four sprung buffers for an O Gauge 7mm scale BR KXA or later FNA-D wagon (or other wagons using this buffer type) in matt black. Photo 3 shows an example in grey resin to better see the detail.
The buffers have been designed so that the buffer heads remain horizontal and do not rotate.
These are genuine photos and not digital representations. The buffers are ready to fit and if you are upgrading a Dapol wagon, the buffer slot will need to be expanded to a 5mm x 4mm rectangular slot.
The buffers can be taken apart to allow the buffers to be painted (if required) using a 2mm allen key. The buffer heads have been printed in a dark resin to remove the need for painting this part.
Bear in mind the size of these items when looking at the detail in the photos.
These were designed to provide a more detailed and correctly sized sprung buffer for KXA and FNA wagons using the distinctive rectangular buffer type with a curved top. They may also be suitable for other modern image wagons and rolling stock as standardisation continues.
