This is a 3D printed item, using a fine ABS like resin.

You will receive parts required to complete the modification to both cabs... enough to convert the cabs of one Lima Class 33 locomotive to a Class 26 or 27 with either an open connecting door or plated over connecting door.

The kit comprises of two control consoles, four seats and two sets of partitions. The partitions have been designed to fit into the locomotive chassis without any modification to the chassis or bodywork.

The upgrade requires the plate holding the two bogie traction weights to be unscrewed to make room for the partitions. The weights can then be repositioned behind the partition.

Photo 1 and 2 show the item parts as you will receive them (you receive parts to complete two cab interiors). Photo 3 shows the two versions with either an open connecting door or plated over connecting door.

The next photos show the interiors fitted to a Lima Class 33 diesel locomotive (the loco and side-frame upgrades are not included in the sale), before the front had been modified to represent a Class 26 or 27 diesel. These are genuine photos and not digital representations.

Note also that the photos showing the fitted cab interior show only the plated over connecting door version (after rebuilding).

These parts were designed to assist modellers who are converting the Lima Class 33 to a Class 26 or 27 with the smaller centre window and centre connecting door.

To fit the kit you simply need to remove a small amount of flash from the bottom edges of the partitions and fix them to the floor, aligning them centrally with the body locating lugs on the chassis / doors on the body. The seats fit in line with the openings within the consoles. Everything is therefore easy to align. The body then slots back over the chassis in the normal way.

The console is as close to the real thing as I think it is possible to get, with all the switches, dials and controls in their place.

Bear in mind the size of these items when looking at the detail in the photos.

These parts were commissioned by a customer who had converted a Lima Class 33 to a Class 26 and wanted a more accurate interior.
