EATON HALL HEYWOOD BRAKE VAN for MINIATURE / NARROW GAUGE (O9 Gauge 7mm scale)
EATON HALL HEYWOOD BRAKE VAN for MINIATURE / NARROW GAUGE (O9 Gauge 7mm scale)
This is a 3D printed item, using a fine ABS like resin and is a brake van body and chassis to create an O9 scale Sir Arthur Heywood's Eaton Railway design brake van (7mm / foot) running on 9mm track. It will each require wheels (ideally 7mm diameter with 15mm point to point steel axles) and couplings to complete. Slots have been provided for Peco OO9 couplings.
The brake van (requires 1mm diameter brass rod for end hand rails - not supplied)
These were commissioned by a customer who was looking for a scale version of each of the wagons featured in the Sir Arthur Haywood reference book written by Mark Smithers to extend his O gauge railway to include a local community railway similar to the 15" and 18" estate / mining railways of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
This wagons are scaled using the diagrams in the Sir Arthur Haywood book referenced above.
The photos show an example of the item as you will receive it, but with couplings and wheels added (couplings, wheels, and track are not included in the sale).
To complete the wagon you simply need to decide if any further work is required (the photos show them as you will receive them) and it is ready to paint... and add the wheels and couplings (not supplied).
The chassis has slots to accept standard Peco GR-102 009 couplings or Peco GR-105 009 close couplings (not supplied) that slot neatly into the chassis.
Bear in mind the size of these items when looking at the detail in the photos.
