This is a 3D printed item, using a fine ABS like resin.
The photos are examples of the items as you will receive them, before any clean up.
The kit comprises of 2 GWR coach vacuum brake cylinders. Each cylinder comprises of:
- 1x vacuum cylinder
- 1x piston rod
- 1x support / frame brackets
- 1x actuating arm
The cylinders are available in two types:
- Early riveted cylinder (photos 1, 2, 3 and 4)
- Later welded cylinder (photos 4 and 5)
The actuating arm clips into the vacuum cylinder piston rod and this and the support brackets can be distanced / angled as required to fit with the brake gear on your underframe.
These are genuine photos taken with a full frame 35mm SLR and not digital representations. They will fit nicely onto a GWR coach underframe and add in some very important and hard to create details.
Bear in mind the size of these items when looking at the detail in the photos. The vacuum cylinders are scale size at 13.7mm diameter and 10mm depth (excluding the support brackets). The actuating arm is 10mm between centres with a 2mm hole for the main brake rod.
These parts were commissioned by someone who loved the LNER underframe kits and wanted some boxes to complete his GWR coach.
