GWR CONTAINER - INSULATED Diagram M1 / BM (O Gauge 7mm scale)

This is a 3D printed item, using a fine ABS like resin.

The kit comprises of a body, roof and four lifting eyes for a GWR Insulated container (Diagram M1 / BM) in O Gauge (7mm scale). This will fit onto appropriate conflat wagons.

Photo 1 is a photo of the container parts as you will receive them and photos 2 & 3 show them assembled and mounted onto a Dapol conflat wagon (not supplied).

One end of the roof may require some light sanding, but otherwise this fits neatly onto the body. The lifting eyes are separate and should be removed from the base with snips and glued in line with the lifting straps on the roof. A small amount of smoothing will blend the lifting eye parts together ready for painting.

It may be required to slightly trim the size of the four side buffers plates on either side of the body (below the vertical ventilator strips) to enable the container to fit snugly into the floor recess depending on the conflat wagon you are using.

If required, GWR shell roof vents can be fitted to the roof for versions with roof vents (these are available separately).

Bear in mind the size of these items when looking at the detail in the photos.

These parts were commissioned by a customer who wanted a container with the ventilation louvres which are difficult to scratchbuild.
