This is a 3D printed item, using a fine ABS like resin.
The photos are examples of the item parts as you will receive them (1 example of each bogie is shown, but you will receive parts to complete twelve bogies). The remaining photos show assembled examples to show off the detail, complete with wheels (3' 7" diameter [25.1mm] - not supplied). Slaters or Easybuild wheels have been tested and clear the brakes shoes nicely.
The parts included are:
- Motor bogie (x2) with centre bolster to work with ABC gears traction motors (not supplied) for power cars (9'6" wheelbase)
- Motor bogie (x2) with standard centre bolster (expected to be non motorised) for one end of each kitchen car (9'6" wheelbase)
- Leading bogie (x2) with guard irons and speedometer on one axle (9'6" wheelbase)
- Trailing bogie (x6) for opposite end of each kitchen car and trailer cars (8'6" wheelbase)
These are genuine photos and not digital representations. You simply need to remove a small amount of flash from the top edge, open up the bearing holes as required for your choice of wheel bearings (not supplied), assemble the pivot assembly using two 15mm lengths of 2mm diameter brass rod (not supplied) and glue it together. If required, brake rods can be fashioned from 1mm brass rod and located into the back of the brake pads and ends of brake levers (holes have been included for this).
Bear in mind the size of these items when looking at the detail in the photos.
These were designed to complete a customer's Westdale kit, but may suit other Blue Pullman kits of scratchbuilds.
