This is a 3D printed item, using a fine ABS like resin.
The photos are examples of the item parts as you will receive them (1 example of each bogie type is shown, but you will receive parts to complete four bogies). 3' 7" diameter [25.1mm] wheels are required to complete - not supplied). Slaters or Easybuild wheels have been tested and clear the brakes shoes nicely.
The parts included are:
- Trailer bogie [listed as Motor bogie in the photos] (x2) (9'6" wheelbase)
- Trailer bogie (x2) (8'6" wheelbase) with either open springs or concertina springs.
These are genuine photos and not digital representations. You simply need to remove a small amount of flash from the top edge, open up the bearing holes as required for your choice of wheel bearings (not supplied), assemble the pivot assembly using two 15mm lengths of 2mm diameter brass rod (not supplied) and glue it together. If required, brake rods can be fashioned from 1mm brass rod and located into the back of the brake pads and ends of brake levers (holes have been included for this).
Bear in mind the size of these items when looking at the detail in the photos.
These were designed to complete a customer's Westdale kit, but may suit other Blue Pullman kits of scratchbuilds.
