This is a 3D printed item, using a fine ABS like resin and is a complete body (with separate roof and sand boxes) to create an O scale narrow gauge railway loco (7mm / foot) running on 16.5mm track.

This is a local community railway loco and was commissioned by a customer who had seen the OO9 version and was looking to add a 7mm example of the Kerr Stuart number 4415 in its original "as built" form with the MacLaren-Benz engine, double exhausts and high level sand boxes to add to his O16.5 gauge railway.

The original loco is currently owned by the Ffestiniog and Welsh Highland Railways Heritage Company and undergoing restoration.

Photos 1 to 3 show the loco body fitted with the Tenshodo 35mm chassis (not supplied). Photos 4 to 7 show an example of the item as you will receive it (body, roof and sand boxes). The last photo show the parts that are required to complete the loco (Tenshodo 35mm x 14mm chassis or similar and PECO couplings) and sitting on a piece of 16.5mm track. 1.0mm brass rod will also be required to create the linkages and pipes for the sand boxes (couplings, motorised chassis, brass rod and track are not included in the sale).

These are genuine photos taken with a full frame 35mm SLR and not digital representations.

You simply need to remove the two formers from the base, remove the supports from the door and window openings and smooth the roof. The holes for brass rod will need a quick clean out with a 1mm drill bit and brass rod added (if required) to form the sand pipework and operating rods. It is then ready to paint / attach the roof / fit to the chassis (not supplied) and add the couplings (not supplied).

It is designed to run on a Tenshodo 35mm x 14mm chassis (not supplied) that simply clips into the body. It also uses two standard Peco GR-102 009 couplings (not supplied) that slot neatly into the bodywork.

Mark Clark from LocosnStuff has designed a more accurate 6 wheel chassis. He will be able to advise on how it should be fitted and is able to carry out the required modifications.

Bear in mind the size of these items when looking at the detail in the photos. The loco body substantially bigger than our other miniature locos and is 100mm long, 43mm wide and 61mm high and scaled to 7mm to the foot.
