BRAKE VAN - MINIATURE / NARROW GAUGE (O9 Gauge 7mm scale)

This is a 3D printed item, using a fine ABS like resin and is a complete Brake Van with separate chassis to create an 09 scale miniature wagons (7mm / foot) running on 9mm track. It requires wheels (ideally 7mm diameter with 15mm point to point steel axles) and couplings to complete.

These were commissioned by a customer who was looking to extend his O gauge railway to include a local community railway similar to the 15" and 18" estate / mining railways of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

The photos show examples of the items with the body mounted to the chassis with couplings added (couplings, wheels and track are not included in the sale) before any clean up.

To complete the wagon you simply need to remove smooth the lower edge of the wagon body, lightly file / sand the top edge of the chassis and they are ready to paint... and add the wheels and couplings (not supplied).

The chassis has slots to accept standard Peco GR-102 009 couplings (not supplied) that slot neatly into the chassis.

Bear in mind the size of these items when looking at the detail in the photos. The wagon bodies are 47mm long, 50mm high and 29mm wide.

 O9 scale modelling is a nice alternative to the traditional narrow gauge and can be used to create a smaller, more agricultural addition to any O gauge layout.
