This is a 3D printed item, using a fine ABS like resin and is a complete open wagon and chassis to create an O9 scale miniature railway Eaton Railway style Sir Arthur Heywood design wagon (7mm / foot) running on 9mm track. It will require wheels (ideally 7mm diameter with 15mm point to point steel axles) and couplings to complete.

This was commissioned by a customer who was looking to extend his O gauge railway to include a local community railway similar to the 15" and 18" estate / mining railways of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

This wagon is modelled on a Sir Arthur Heywood design running on a number of light railways, but these are a little bit larger to cater for the freelance O9 modeller (see separate listing for scale versions).

Photo 1 shows an example of the items as you will receive them to complete 3 wagons. Photos 2, 3 and 4 show the body mounted to the chassis with couplings added (couplings, wheels, other wagons and track are not included in the sale).

To complete the wagon you simply need to remove smooth the lower edge of the wagon body, lightly file / sand the top edge of the chassis and it is ready to paint... and add the wheels and couplings (not supplied).

The chassis has slots to accept standard Peco GR-102 009 couplings (not supplied) that slot neatly into the chassis.

Bear in mind the size of these items when looking at the detail in the photos. The wagon body is 43mm long, 27mm wide.

O9 scale modelling is a nice alternative to the traditional narrow gauge and can be used to create a smaller, more agricultural addition to any O gauge layout.
