SIMPLEX 60HP PLATE-FRAME NARROW GAUGE DIESEL [4H] (BODY ONLY) (O16.5 Gauge 7mm scale)

This is a 3D printed item, using a fine ABS like resin and is a complete body (with separate roof) to create an O scale Simplex 50/60hp miniature railway loco (7mm / foot) running on 16.5mm track.

This engine is modelled on a Simplex loco, manufactured by Motor Rail and is a more unusual left hand door version. These were usually rebuilt from orders returned from France after the WW2, rebuilt with new engines (50hp or 60hp), new cabs and then sold as new to UK buyers.

This version often worked on lightly laid tracks on sand quarries and examples now run on the Welsh Highland Heritage Railway, Apedale Light Valley Railway and Gold Valley Light Railway.

This particular model commissioned by a customer who was looking to add examples of the locos used on their local WW2 gun range to his O gauge railway.
 
The first photo is of an example of the item as you will receive it. Photos 2 to 5 are of a body mounted to the chassis (motorised chassis and track are not included in the sale).
 
These are genuine photos taken with a full frame 35mm SLR and not digital representations. 

You simply need to remove the two formers from the base and it is then ready to paint / attach the roof / fit to the chassis (not supplied) and add the couplings (not supplied).

It is designed to run on a Tenshodo 26mm wheelbase chassis with 10.5mm disc wheels (not supplied) that requires the extended axles to be cut off. The chassis then simply clips into the body. It uses two standard Peco GR-102 009 couplings (not supplied) that slot neatly into the bodywork.

Bear in mind the size of these items when looking at the detail in the photos. The loco is 65mm long (over couplings mounts), 28mm wide and 44mm high (including wheels).
